I recomennd using AVG and Anti-Vir for your anti-virus. They are both free and running them together makes your system more secure than Norton anti-virus. As far as internet security download Zone Alarm firewall. This is also a freebie. I use all three programs on my system and never have ran into a problem, and I've had this set up for over a year now.
